What is InTouchLink?
InTouchLink is a powerful, patent pending software package that enables users with absolutely no prior computer experience to happily and successfully begin using a computer for email, internet, photo albums, calendars and for a variety of other purposes.
InTouchLink is a fully web-based product and requires no local installation. The system can be used on any computer: in the internet cafe, in the user’s or their family’s home, and anywhere else they may be.
The purpose of InTouchLink and its features is threefold:
Communication:
Leading the InTouchLink communications package is the Email module. With the ability to send, receive and save emails, photos and documents, InTouchLink provides the uninitiated user a quick, simple method with which to communicate with family and friends.
Brain Fitness:
Recent research by Dr Gary Small of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behaviour at UCLA and others has indicated that the senior brain shows positive, substantial changes within one week of commencing internet use. In addition to the recognised benefits obtained from simply using the system, InTouchLink includes a Brain Fitness section with specifically targeted brain exercise games.
Entertainment:
InTouchLink provides dynamic, daily and monthly changing content to ensure seniors have a steady and changing stream of entertainment features with which to pass time in a pleasant, enjoyable manner. Content includes videos, pictures, radio, music and simple games. It is anticipated that future releases will also include access to full length feature films.
